about

The Snow is the second single from Joanna Gemma Auguri's album 11. A moment of understanding that end and beginning happen at the same time. When pain and curiosity cancel each other out. Like the stillness during a solar eclipse, just before the sun comes out from behind the moon again. The vast silence in a wintry forest before the snow falls.
Auguri accompanies herself on the zither, which underlines the mysterious atmosphere with its strange and fragile sound.

lyrics

The Snow

Clouds sink on the mountain peaks
Fir trees caressed by wafts of mist
Whispers from a past dream
Whispers through my hibernating sleep

Realize the crisp in the air
A sigh scatters through the forest
Disappears
The transience of every single day
That moment of a last embrace

Here we stand again
On our own
Crack in the ground
Time to let go
Salvation within
The unknown

And you breathe out
And you breathe in
Dawn is already lingering
And the snow is just about to come
Yeah, the snow is just about to come
Yeah, the snow
